The educational process requires quality service from all classified as well as certificated personnel.  The efficiency and effectiveness with which support services of educational office professionals are provided is of great importance to the District.

To ensure desired quality, attention must be given not only to the qualifications of those being employed, but also to the support and encouragement for continued improvement of classified persons on the job.  Improvement in performance can occur as a result of both experience and training.

Improvement on the job is the responsibility of the employee, but the District can help by offering training programs.  The District can also provide incentives of possible promotion and additional salary benefits.

Educational office professionals who improve their job knowledge by participating in training classes, etc. which relate to District classified positions will be eligible to receive remuneration as they complete levels of earned credit, as indicated in this professional growth plan.  Training programs should be available for voluntary participation by employees who have an interest or need, which can be filled by the training.  Where District priorities, Board objectives, changed job requirements, the need for improved job requirements, or the need for improved job skills or job performance call for additional training, educational office professionals may be required to participate in necessary training.

Grant Funds for Professional Growth Blue butterfly

Grant funds for JCAEOP members are available to help defray expenses for workshops, conferences, computer and college classes that enable us to increase our skills and knowledge in our professional jobs related to education.  Our fiscal year begins in July 1st of each year and ends on June 30th of the following year.

Members in our organization have received funds to attend the CAEOP Fall Conference, workshops, computer classes and college classes.  Our successful Jerry's Nut House fundraisers, have provided these funds.  We are proud that we can offer this benefit to our membership.

The continuing education of educational office professionals is essential to cope with rapidly changing conditions in the profession.  If you have the opportunity to enhance your professional competencies through academic programs, conference, workshops and classes, let JCAEOP help you fund all or part of this important professional growth experiences.  If you wish to apply for professional growth funds through JCAEOP, please download the following application, complete all the information and return it to Linda Scott, Audiology Technician.  If you have questions, please call Linda Scott at 303-982-5940.
